We first met at 10 years old at our local gym, though we barely knew each other then. It wasn’t until 7th grade that we finally talked—exchanging shy smiles, middle school banter, and quiet crushes.

Through high school, we stayed friendly but distant—sharing a few classes (including an unexpected love for pre-calculus) while moving in different circles. After graduation, life pulled us apart, and we assumed our story had quietly ended there.

But five years later, fate had other plans. Jeremy slid into Kailie’s messages (inspired by her cooking posts, naturally), and a month later we had our first date... and found our first dog Penelope that same day. A few months in, we discovered our parents had once gone to high school together too—another unexpected thread tying everything together.

From childhood acquaintances to soulmates, our story came full circle—and we couldn’t be more grateful for the journey that brought us here.
